Much of the work I did as Global Digital Strategy Director at GivingTuesday was about injecting more generosity into the online conversation. The digital strategy, I’d deployed was about turning casual internet users into changemakers and harnessing their energy for good. That strategy resulted in a significant positive impact on communities and causes around the world. Through the power of technology and social media, we've been able to connect people and causes, raise awareness and funds, and create meaningful change at scale. The GivingTuesday movement believes that everyone has the potential to make a difference, so we developed a social media strategy that empowered individuals and communities to create a better future for all.

TikTok loves #heartwarming and #wholesome content! We wanted to inject some positivity into folks' TikTok feeds and inspire them to go out and do a little bit of good in their worlds. So we deployed content creators from around the world to show us exactly what generosity can look like though small, do-able actions. Many of these pieces of content went viral, but more importantly, they elicited comments and duets that showed us that our strategy was working - people were replicating the ideas in their own communities.
